Jay Maniyar is a Research Associate at the National Maritime Foundation, New Delhi. He is working on issues pertaining to the maritime domains of Japan, South Korea and the ASEAN. He is authoring two books, one each on Japan and South Korea's geopolitical, geoeconomic, and geostrategic interests in the Indian Ocean. He is a Master's (International Relations) graduate of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Singapore. Apart from working at the National Maritime Foundation for three years in two spells, he has worked with the Delhi Policy Group. He is also a qualified software engineer and a journalist.
